Industry Veterans Kathy Magnuson and James Pietz Join Evoke to Serve in Senior Client Partnership Positions
New York, January 30, 2019 – Evoke (www.evokegroup.com) today announces the appointments of industry veterans and innovators Kathy Magnuson and James Pietz. Magnuson and Pietz, both join Evoke in the role of Executive Vice President, Client Partner amidst continued growth across the agency.
Magnuson most recently served as EVP, Management Supervisor at BGB Group where she built a team to support and implement fully integrated healthcare communications for a major brand portfolio in the oncology category. She oversaw all aspects of the relationship, recruiting and training an account team to manage promotional advertising and medical communications within a consistent strategic platform.
Evoke CEO Reid Connolly says, “Kathy’s industry experience and expertise in complex categories like oncology are a great addition to our team. She will support some of our biggest clients who are launching breakthrough brands and changing the way we treat, and even look at some of these diseases.”

Magnuson has more than 25 years of experience in integrated pharma marketing, across advertising, medical education, and public relations. Prior to BGB, she worked in similar leadership positions with Harrison and Star, Brand Pharm, Medicus, and Sudler & Hennessey.
James Pietz comes to Evoke from Razorfish Health, where he served as SVP, Group Account Director. He previously worked 20 years in account services and 10 years in strategy roles with companies that include Klick Health, Digitas Health, MicroMass, imc2, and Ogilvy and Mather. He has partnered with a wide range of pharmaceutical, biotech, device and diagnostics companies to support the growth of many leading healthcare brands.
